HEREBY DECREES AS FOLLOWS:
Article 1
The provisions of Article 49 of Decree No. 93/34 of 19 January 1993 to organize the University of Buea are amended and supplemented as follows:
"ARTICLE 49. (New) (1) The University shall comprise institutions established in accordance with the laws and regulations in force.
(2) The institutions shall be:
- Faculty of Arts;
- Faculty of Social and Management Sciences;
- Faculty of Education;
- Faculty of Science;
- Faculty of Law and Political Science;
- Faculty of Health Sciences;
- Faculty of Engineering and Technology;
- Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine;
- Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters;
- College of Technology;
- Higher Technical Teachers Training College in Kumba."
Article 2
(1) The Department of Law and the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences shall be transferred to the Faculty of Law and Political Science.
(2) The students, lecturers, non-teaching staff, equipment and materials of the Department of Law and the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences shall also be transferred to the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Buea.
(3) The students referred to in Article 2 (2) above pursuing studies on the date of publication of this decree shall be governed by the regulations under which they were admitted to the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences till the end of their studies.
Article 3
This decree shall be registered, published according to the procedure of urgency and inserted in the Official Gazette in English and French.
